Attorney Eric C. Boughman of ForsterBoughman explores Florida healthcare licensing and practice requirements in his seminar:
Building a Healthcare Practice in Florida: AHCA Licensing, Exemptions, Scope of Practice, and Medical Director Requirements
In this seminar, we examine the regulatory requirements that determine whether a Florida healthcare practice can legally operate under its proposed structure. Attendees will learn when AHCA licensure may be required, how common exemptions apply, and why ownership, control, services, and business structure can affect whether an exemption remains available. The seminar also explores scope-of-practice requirements for physicians, autonomous and non-autonomous APRNs, and physician assistants, as well as when a supervising, collaborating, or medical director relationship may be necessary. Designed for physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners pursuing autonomous practice, medical directors, healthcare entrepreneurs, and non-licensed professionals interested in owning a clinic.
