Helena Czernek and Aleksander Prugar, curators and founders of the Mezuzah Traces project, will share the history of their groundbreaking work documenting the traces of mezuzahs still visible on doorframes throughout Poland—powerful reminders of once-vibrant Jewish communities and the lives forever changed by the Holocaust. Through photographs, personal stories, and historical research, this lecture offers a unique opportunity to engage with the creators of the exhibition and gain deeper insight into the enduring presence of Jewish memory in Poland's built landscape.
