Casselberry, FL – Edge Consulting is proud to announce that this month Sean Esler began a new volunteer role with the Boy Scouts of America in the Seminole District as the Committee Chairperson. He will join Seminole County’s District Executive, Ethel Harris and District Commissioner, Nicholas Menand, to oversee Seminole County’s 58 scouting units, and more than 1500 youth. Building on his past leadership roles within and outside of the BSA, Sean is looking to take advantage of the growing momentum that the scouting programs have seen recently.
The Central Florida Council of the BSA has seen a significant increase in registrations in recent months as families are eager to find activities and programs outside of the home and away from the digital platforms.
On top of being one of five councils for growth in the nation, the Council will also be marking a historic milestone this year. Scouters from across Central Florida will be celebrating the area’s 100th anniversary, beginning with a new exhibit at the Lake Mary Historical Museum.
Building on a strong core of volunteer leadership, Sean and the team are looking to expand on the programs offered to youth across the county. In anticipation of more historic growth in 2022 and 2023, focus will be spent on prioritizing resources, streamlining processes and ensuring long-term sustainability of all the activities that this district provides.
