Affordable options after losing employer-provided health insurance
Thousands in our communities have not only lost their jobs, but also their employer-provided health insurance. While COBRA coverage can be expensive, there are several more affordable options to keep individuals and their families covered. Some options include financial assistance that can reduce monthly payments to as low as $0/month, plus they may also pay
less to see a doctor, if they qualify. It’s important to act now because many ‘replacement plans’ are only available for 60 days after losing their employer’s insurance. Learn more about where to get assistance with affordable plans and financial aid.
