SEMINOLE COUNTY, FL (January 14, 2022) – The Perfect Game Cares Foundation, in partnership with Seminole County, is hosting a free Grow the Game baseball and softball camp for boys and girls ages 12 and under on Saturday, January 22 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Boombah Sports Complex in Sanford.
Young players will have the opportunity to practice with local collegiate athletes and former Major League Baseball players Luis Alicea, Zach Eflin, Ben Ford, Tom “Flash” Gordon, Luis Gonzalez, Charles Johnson, Blake Loubier (MiLB), Ryan Mountcastle, Tim Redding, Michael Tucker, and Tony Womack. Every child present will also receive free gear, including a glove, t-shirt, and ball for autographs.
Perfect Game, the world’s largest elite youth baseball platform and scouting service, became an anchor event organizer at the Boombah Sports Complex in 2020, driving tourism and economic impact to Seminole County. Their nonprofit arm seeks to remove economic barriers between children in underserved communities and their chance to play baseball and softball.
Parents must register their children online prior to the event at perfectgamecares.org/event/
