Record Attendance for Regional Education Summit

Richard Corcoran, Area Superintendents Discuss Future of Education in Florida

Your Seminole County Regional Chamber of Commerce took a giant step in being a leader for regional issues on Thursday at Good Morning Seminole.

Nearly 325 people came to the Regional Education Summit to hear from newly appointed Richard Corcoran, Florida's Education Commissioner.

The personal Q&A with Commissioner Corcoran was followed by a regional education discussion with the superintendents for Seminole, Orange and Osceola counties.

Led by Tricia Johnson, the discussion included a broad spectrum of topics in k-12 education. The group discussed teacher compensation, accommodating for growth, testing and accountability and much more.

Plus, there were more than a half dozen media outlets covering the event, including WFTV Channel 9, Orlando Sentinel and the statewide Florida Politics.

This type of event is the new standard for Good Morning Seminole and our chamber. Make sure you don't miss any future events!
