SEMINOLE COUNTY, FL (August 2, 2021)- The CDC moratorium on evictions has ended; Seminole County is committed to ensuring families receive assistance, if needed, and reminds residents that grants are available for low or very low income households impacted by COVID-19. Seminole County’s Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) has approximately $3.6 million in funding remaining, while the Emergency Mortgage Assistance Program (EMAP) has nearly $1.5 million in remaining grants.
Of Seminole County’s 167,500 households, it is estimated that 45,000 are below 80% of average median income. If these families can show a loss of wages, loss of hours worked or other income loss due to COVID-19, they may qualify for past-due rent/mortgage and utility payments.
