Seminole County FL - APRIL 20 COVID-19 UPDATE

SEMINOLE COUNTY, FL (April 20, 2020)- Seminole County Office of Emergency Management has been under a Local State of Emergency (LSE) since March 2, 2020, and continues to monitor COVID-19. There are currently 326 confirmed cases in Seminole County, 318 of which are Seminole County residents; there have been five COVID-19 deaths in the County. The County’s confirmed cases range from age one to 100. Updates can be found at and on the County’s social media channels. 

Today’s press conference originally scheduled 2:00p.m. press conference will be moved to 1:00 p.m. Speakers include:

Seminole County, in partnership with True Health and Florida Department of Health-Seminole, is offering drive up or walk up testing throughout the community. 

REQUIREMENTS: Must bring I.D., patients do not have to exhibit symptoms
COST: Free of charge; patients with insurance should bring insurance cards
APPOINTMENTS: No appointments necessary
HOURS: 10:00a.m. until 2:00p.m.

Please note, testing is for COVID-19. Antibody testing is not available at Pop-Up Community Test Sites.

Beginning Tuesday, AdventHealth will offer testing weekdays from 9:00a.m. until 2:00p.m. at Seminole Towne Center. Testing is available for anyone who meets criteria for testing as set by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. There will be no out of pocket costs, regardless of insurance status. AdventHealth will cover the costs for uninsured patients. Patients should make an appointment at prior to arrival. 

The regional, state-operated drive thru test site at Orange County Convention Center has expanded to accommodate 750 tests daily, as well. Patients must have symptoms, have been in contact with a COVID-19 patient, or are a first responder or health care worker. Adult patients should bring their valid ID and children must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. No charge for testing, regardless of insurance status; no appointment necessary to be tested. 

Seminole County Office of Emergency Management and Florida Department of Health-Seminole personnel are available daily from 8:00a.m.-5:00p.m. by phone to answer non-emergency questions related to COVID-19 at 407-665-0000. Spanish-speaking operators are on standby to assist.
