Seminole County FL - MAY 9 COVID 19 UPDATE

SEMINOLE COUNTY, FL (May 9, 2020)- Seminole County Office of Emergency Management has been under a Local State of Emergency (LSE) since March 2, 2020, and continues to monitor COVID-19. There are currently 410 confirmed cases in Seminole County, 402 of which are Seminole County residents; there have been 11 COVID-19 deaths in the County. The County’s confirmed cases range from age six months to 100 years. Updates can be found at prepareseminole.org and on the County’s social media channels.

POP UP COMMUNITY COVID-19 TEST SITES OFFERED ON SATURDAYS
The American Muslim Community Clinic in partnership with Bueno Pharmacy will offer drive up or walk up COVID-19 testing at locations serving Spanish-speaking populations. The sites will be operational on Saturdays, beginning today, May 9, 2020, from 10:00a.m.-2:00p.m. at the following locations:

  • May 9- Iglesia Cristian Hispana, 1643 Disciples Point, Casselberry
  • May 16-Iglesia Presbiteriana El Redentor, 6971 Red Bug Lake Road, Oviedo
  • May 23- St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, 861 Maitland Avenue, Altamonte Springs
  • May 30- Iglesia Renacimiento Cristiano, 150 Dog Track Road,

CRITERIA: Patients do not have to exhibit symptoms
REQUIREMENTS: Patients should bring an ID and insurance card if insured; accepting uninsured patients, as well
COST:  No co-pay, no charge regardless of insurance status

Antibody Testing is not available at these sites.

ALLIED HEALTH DRIVE THRU COVID-19 TESTING
Allied Health’s Altamonte Mall Drive Thru COVID-19 Test Site will end today, relocating to Seminole State College Sanford/Lake Mary campus beginning Monday, May 11, 2020, with a daily testing capacity of 250. Antibody testing is not available at this location.
The new location will be adjacent to the Automotive Training Center on Seminole State’s main campus at 100 Weldon Boulevard in Sanford. Signage will direct patients to the queue.

DATES/TIMES: Beginning May 11, Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m.-5:00p.m.

SOCIAL DISTANCING FOR REOPENING FOR PERSONAL SERVICES
As salons begin offering services on Monday, businesses are reminded of Seminole County’s Social Distance for Reopening Order, which requires both an employee and patron to wear a face mask/covering when employees and patrons must be within six (6) feet; unless the customer wearing the mask would impede the service, in which case the service provider would need to wear a face mask/covering.

Face masks/coverings are recommended otherwise.
