Seminole County Sports Hall of Fame Nominations Now Accepted

SEMINOLE COUNTY, FL (January 10, 2022) – The Seminole County Sports Hall of Fame Committee is now accepting nominations for the 2022 recognition class. Nominations must be submitted by March 31 to be eligible for induction.

AWARDS GIVEN:
ATHLETE (Male and Female)
CONTRIBUTOR (Male and Female)
LEGACY (Athlete or Contributor active prior to 1999)
INCLUSION (Athlete or Contributor with special needs)

Athlete nominees must be at least 35 years old, have graduated from a high school in Seminole County, and have had outstanding athletic achievement at the high school, collegiate, amateur, and/or professional level. Contributor nominees may include coaches, officials, administrators, financial backers, or members of the media. The Committee also considers the nominee’s off-the-field character, including sportsmanship and leadership. 

Seminole County Leisure Services Department is proud to support the Hall of Fame Committee through staff resources, community engagement and the Night of Champions ceremony in May, where Hall of Fame inductees receive public recognition.
