Third Dose Vaccine Sites in Seminole County

As third dose eligibility expands, Seminole County is offering third dose-specific vaccine sites by appointment only later this week. Appointments are now available at PrepareSeminole.org.

  • Salvation Army Gymnasium, 700 W 24th Street, Sanford
  • Friday, October 1, 9:00am to 4:00pm
  • Salvation Army Gymnasium, 700 W 24th Street, Sanford
  • Saturday, October 2, 9:00am to 1:00pm
  • Casselberry Recreation Center, 200 Triplet Lake Drive, Casselberry

THIRD DOSE ELIGIBILITY

Moderna: Moderately to severely immunocompromised individuals who have received two mRNA vaccine doses of Moderna at least 28 days ago are eligible. Moderately to severely immunocompromised individuals are identified as people who:

  • Have received a solid organ transplant;
  • Are presently taking immunosuppressant medications;
  • Are presently being treated for cancer; and/or
  • Have other qualifying conditions.

Pfizer: On September 24, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention approved the third dose for Pfizer under the following conditions:

  • Moderately to severely immunocompromised individuals who have received two mRNA vaccine doses of Pfizer at least 28 days ago are eligible.
  • Anyone who is 65+ and any long-term care resident should receive a Pfizer booster shot at least 6 months after his or her primary series
  • Anyone 50+ with an underlying medical condition should receive a Pfizer booster shot at least 6 months after his or her primary series
  • Anyone 18–49 with an underlying medical condition may receive a Pfizer booster shot at least 6 months after the primary series, based on his or her individual benefits and risks
  • Anyone 18-64 who is at increased risk of COVID-19 exposure and transmission because of job or institutional settings may receive a Pfizer booster shot at least 6 months after the primary series, based on his or her individual benefits and risks

No other populations are eligible to receive third doses at this time.
