Following his time in active law enforcement\, Steve served as the Assistant Director of the Criminal Justice Institute at Valencia College's School of Public Safety\, a role he held until his retirement in April 2025. There\, he played a key role in developing and guiding future law enforcement professionals through advanced education and training programs. Steve now serves as Decision Tactical's law enforcement training expert\, where he continues to make a meaningful impact in law enforcement education and professional development.\n\n\n\n Mike Friedman is the Owner and Head Instructor at Champion Karate and Knockout Fitness in Lake Mary\, Florida. A 7th Degree Black Belt in American Kenpo and certified Guro in Pambuan Arnis\, Mike brings over 35 years of martial arts experience to his students. A former top-ranked competitor nationally and globally\, he now focuses on sharing his Tactical Defense Solutions with organizations across the U.S. and internationally. As co-owner of the Lake Mary Arts & Fitness Center\, he is dedicated to promoting martial arts\, fitness\, and performing arts while remaining actively involved in local charities\, Seminole County Schools\, and the Chamber of Commerce.
