DESCRIPTION:The Florida League is pleased to announce our 2013 Celebrity Golf Tournament will be taking place on Monday\, November 11th at Interlachen Country Club located in Winter Park\, FL. Past celebrity golfers include: Jeff Bagwell\, Hunter Pence\, Davey Johnson\, Fred McGriff\, Tim Wakefield and many more current and former Major League Baseball players. \n\nThis exciting event is our biggest and most important fundraiser of the year. Besides a great day of golf\, we also put on a silent auction featuring a wide variety of items from vacation packages to rounds of golf to autographed sports memorabilia to fine dining. \n\nProceeds from the auction go towards funding our community service projects\, including the Ken Griffey Jr. Youth League in partnership with the Boys and Girls Clubs of America\, Weeks II Success and Altamonte Springs Special Needs Recreation. Each year\, coaches and players from all six of our teams volunteer their time\, providing instruction and equipment to help teach the game of baseball to kids of all backgrounds in an effort to spread the joy that comes from playing America's pastime.
