DESCRIPTION:Leadership Seminole Class 22 is excited to announce that a fundraiser benefiting The Grove Counseling Center will take place on Saturday\, January 5\, 2013\, at Daytona International Speedway.\n\n\n\n    \n        \n             \n        \n    \n\nThe attendees of the event will enjoy a fun-packed evening that includes an opportunity to watch live sports car testing\, tours of the garages\, race-themed games\, beverages and hors d'oeuvres\, raffles\, a live band\, and a silent auction! Class 22 will renovate The Grove Academy\, a safe place for adolescents to recover from serious alcohol and drug abuse disorders. Teens arrive at The Grove with the hope of healing from addiction\, along with other trauma they have endured during their young life. \n\n\n\nApproximately 40% of the teens living at The Grove are in the foster care system. Another 30% are involved in the criminal justice system. A majority of the youth are from families without access to health insurance\, and pay as little as $2 per day to receive treatment. The funds raised at our January event will help to create cozier common spaces and a more functional dining room\, improve the aging bathroom facilities\, and bring in more recreational opportunities for the adolescent residents. We have lovingly coined the project "Operation Groverhaul" and hope to accomplish much before May of 2013. To purchase a ticket or make a donation\, please call (407) 327-1765.
