The Club was founded August 17\, 1987\, by a few neighborhood women who gathered as friends\, and a quarter of a century later we honor what they began – the Heathrow Women's Club.  Over the years\, the membership has grown to include hundreds of women\, perhaps even thousands.  A celebratory 25th anniversary program is scheduled for the first meeting of the year on Tuesday\, September 11\, 2012. Past presidents will be honored and a brief overview of the history of the club will be offered.  The celebration will continue throughout the year with a variety of special programs.\n\nHeathrow Women's Club is a non-profit\, charitable and social club\, open to all women in Central Florida.  Over the past 25 years\, HWC has demonstrated a remarkable ability to bond together to raise nearly one million dollars in donations and services for deserving organizations in the Seminole County.  Currently HWC supports the Boys & Girls Club of Central Florida\, West Sanford Branch\; Seminole County Friends of Abused Children\; SafeHouse of Seminole Daycare/After School Program\, and Bags of Hope. LOCATION:From the East on 1-4\, take exit 98 Lake Mary Blvd. Proceed on Lake Mary Blvd West (right) to the first Light International Parkway (turn right). Take International Parkway down approximately 1 mile\, and the second left will be Bridgewater Drive – there is a stone wall noting “Heathrow Country Club.” Proceed to the Clubhouse on the right.
