Fresh Kitchen Expands In Central Florida With Ninth Location To Open In Lake Mary On February 24

LAKE MARY, Fla. - (Jan. TK, 2020) — Fresh Kitchen (FK), the popular build-your-own-bowl quick-service restaurant concept, will open its third Central Florida location in Lake Mary, just north of Orlando. The restaurant will open its doors Monday, February 24 for both lunch and dinner as well as take-out orders and group catering. This will be the ninth location for the brand within Florida.

FK reimagined fast food when they opened their first restaurant to overwhelming success in Tampa, Florida’s SoHo district in 2014. This was followed by seven more locations including Sarasota, St. Petersburg, Boca Raton, two Orlando stores (Waterford Lakes and SoDo), Tampa’s Westshore, and Davie, which opened last February.

FK Brand President Steven Lanza says of the brand’s expansion into Lake Mary, “Fresh Kitchen’s mission to bring fresh, clean, scratch-made food options to local communities is the reason behind our growth and evolution. Our primary goal is to make people feel good by offering healthy food that is affordable in an environment that feels fun and welcoming. Another driver is convenience. With so many people on the go these days, we always strive to keep our lines friendly, but moving fast and also offer easy online ordering. After seeing such success in the downtown area and east Orlando, we are so excited to be able to share our passion for food and people with the north Central Florida community.

FK invites guests to build their own chef-inspired bowls “as fast as they can point.” Made from scratch and fresh-to-order, guests are presented with seasonal ingredients including fresh greens, quinoa, sweet potato noodles, perfectly seasoned rices, roasted veggies, hormone and antibiotic-free grilled meats, responsibly sourced seafood options, home-made sauces and flavorful add-ons.  The entire menu is 100 percent gluten-free with vegan options available; and all food is prepared using 100% olive oil. Bowls range from $10.59 for a Six Bowl (two bases, two veggies, two proteins, one add on, one sauce) to $8.49 for a Four Bowl (two bases, one veggie, one protein, one add on, one sauce), and $7.19 for a Kid’s Bowl (one base, one veggie, one protein, one add on, one sauce).

Freshly brewed teas, lightly sweetened juice frescas, and juices are prepared in-house daily and are complemented by cane sugar craft sodas. A selection of gluten-free, paleo-friendly desserts, like Chocolate Chip Cookies and Zucchini Brownies, is also available in the refrigerated case at the entrance to the line as well as at the cashier’s station.

Fresh Kitchen also offers fast, fresh, and convenient catering options, like the Family Meal (feeds four for $36) or Feast Meal (feeds eight for $69). Because of their diverse offerings, FK’s catering menus are ideal for local businesses, organizations and large gatherings of family and friends. They also have a catering manager on site, and offer delivery (for catering orders over $100) to help make feeding larger groups with a healthy meal a cinch.

The interior spaces of Fresh Kitchen locations are splashed with bright colors and uniquely adorned with “Instagram-worthy” murals and art installations from local artists. The murals on the walls celebrate healthy eating with witty sayings, reminding guests that eating healthy is fun. The locations also sell branded FK “swag,” like their popular “Too Cool for Gluten” shirts, for guests who want to celebrate their healthy lifestyle.

Charitable giving has always been part of the Fresh Kitchen credo. Over the past five years, Fresh Kitchen has donated more than $125,000 to various charities and has given an additional $30,000 worth of food donations. As the charitable giving partner for the opening of Fresh Kitchen Lake Mary, and to show the brand’s commitment to community partnerships, FK is pleased to partner with Seminole County Meals on Wheels, serving the area for more than 45 years, the agency offers nourishment, homemaking services, health screenings and other wellness services to local seniors
