Orlando Magic and Florida Blue Team Up to ''Block Out Hunger''; Distribute 1,600 Meals to Families on

As part of the Orlando Magic's and Florida Blue's continuing commitment to the community with focus on the current needs in Central Florida, the two are teaming up to "Block Out Hunger" with Florida Blue distributing 1,600 meals to families on Saturday. The event is free and open to the public and meals are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Families can also register for meals at Block Out Hunger.
The Magic and Florida Blue announced the Block Out Hunger program during the 2020-'21 season. For every block the Magic had throughout the 2021-'22 season, Florida Blue would donate 10 meals to Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida, for a total of 3,670 meals. Magic fans also had a chance to donate to the cause at Florida Blue's presenting night this past season by rounding up their retail and concessions purchases at that game. Meals will be provided through a donation to Second Harvest Food Bank as well as on-site at the event.
The needs of the Orlando community are vast, and the Magic and Florida Blue will continue to address one of the most pressing issues, hunger. With food insecurity a large issue in the local community, the pandemic has made it even more dire. Florida Blue and the Magic will provide an assist to many families in need with the program continuing in the 2022-23 season.
