Retired Navy SEAL Commander Jon Macaskill to Keynote the Veteran Business Summit in Orlando

Orlando, Fla. (March 17, 2023) - Do you have the grit, the resilience, the compassion to succeed?

We all do, but to truly maximize our potential, it’s essential to learn how to grow those traits and utilize them fully to grow our businesses and our organizations.

At the Veteran Business Summit on May 11, retired Navy SEAL Commander Jon Macaskill is coming to help our veterans in business overcome challenges and achieve success at the individual and organizational levels.

“Jon’s impact on organizations is remarkable,” says Ricardo Garcia, co-founder of the Veterans Entrepreneurship Initiative. "His experience and knowledge will be invaluable to our attendees and will help to further our mission of empowering and supporting veteran entrepreneurs."

During his 24-year Navy career, Macaskill served in multiple highly dynamic leadership positions from the battlefield to the operations center and the board room. His style of teaching leadership is unconventional yet highly effective.

He is passionate about helping people and organizations become the best versions of themselves through mindfulness coaching and grit and resilience training.

“Bottom line: Jon is a phenomenal leader, tremendous problem-solver, and respected mentor,” says Matt Stevens, CEO of The Honor Foundation, retired Navy SEAL. “Jon worked with me on some of our nation’s most sensitive and difficult operational issues – which he nailed. He is a strategic visionary, critical thinker, and articulate communicator who demonstrates the highest standards of commitment, integrity, and humility every day.”

The inaugural Veteran Business Summit taking place on May 11, 2023, at the GuideWell Innovation Center in Orlando, Fla. will provide a unique opportunity for veterans to connect, learn, and grow their businesses.

Attendees will participate in a panel discussion of successful veteran-owned businesses and hear from major organizations about programs specialized in buying goods and services from veterans. A dedicated session on fundraising success stories and lessons learned will also be featured.
