Seminole County Chamber Featured on News 13

This past weekend as the nation started Small Business Month, the Seminole County Chamber was the centerpiece of a special program on Spectrum News 13 all about small businesses.

Both our president & CEO, Rebekah Arthur, and our Chair, Lauren Miller, were invited to a lengthy discussion on how our community can help small businesses thrive. Of course, not only is Lauren our board chair, but she is also an owner in two family-owned small businesses.  

"There are definitely advantages to being a small business, but there are also challenges," Miller said. "But being a small business is fantastic."

One of the things they talked about was how the Chamber assists small businesses.

"A lot of it is making sure those first couple years you are establishing your business the right way," Arthur says., "We're working hard with our economic development committee and the SBDC to connect entrepreneurs with the resources that are available in the community and get them on the right path at the beginning."
