Seminole County Offers Three 4-H Camps

4-H Bugging Out Entomology Camp

 

During this camp, youth will learn insect anatomy, how to catch and identify bugs, and learn the difference between honey bees and native bees. Youth will build their own native bee house and create an insect habitat to take home. Finally, youth will learn from professionals in the community about the many jobs available in entomology.

Date: July 6th-7th, 8:30-11:30am

Ages: 12-18

4-H Teen Entomology Camp

During this hybrid camp, teens will learn how to catch and identify bugs, preserve them, and start their own collection. Teens will receive their own pinning equipment and learn how to create an insect habitat. Finally, youth will learn from professionals in the community about the many jobs available in entomology.

4-H Veterinary Science Camp

This camp is open to all Orange, Osceola, and Seminole County youth. There are limited camper slots available. Due to the high interest in this camp, youth wanting to attend camp must be selected based on an application process. This camp is designed for youth interested in a career in veterinary medicine.
