The Mother?s Day 5k is more than just a race; it?s a special morning to celebrate lives. With a growing participation of over 1,000, the run/walk has provided a unique outlet for all groups to celebrate a special day for the special women in their lives and honoring those they have lost. Event Information: $10 Kids Fun Run (Ages 11 and younger) $25 through Saturday, April 11th $30 Sunday, April 12th to Saturday, May 8th $35 ?Sleep-In? Virtual Run and Day-of Registration Packet pick-up: Saturday, May 9th 4:00pm ? 7:00pm at Oviedo Mall. Team Captains may pick up for team members, but replacement materials will not be issued. Suggested parking is at the parking lot of Dillard?s department store. Carpool with friends and arrive early! Restrooms are located in the Oviedo Mall Food Court. All mall entrances will be closed at 7:15am for the Kids Fun Run. Build Your Team: Teams can come in all sizes; from 2 participants to over 50. It?s the support of your team that multiplies the fun, laughter, and impact on the fight against women and girls? cancers! It?s also a great opportunity for companies and organizations to promote fellowship outside of work. We?ll even send you a customized team flyer when you register to help you spread the word! Schedule a pick-up before the race and decorate the sign at home to advertise your organization?s presence or in honor/in memory of a loved one. Bring it with you on Mother?s Day to display on the race course to create your own cheering section! Each year, an award is given to the Largest Team on Mother?s Day morning. Congratulations to our 2014 winners: Team Anne! Team Fundraisers: Look at how easy it is to fundraise! Ask 10 of your coworkers, friends, and family to ask 5 of THEIR coworkers, family, and friends to donate $20 to your team fundraiser. Within minutes, you?ve raised $1,000! Check with your company or organization if they will match your gift and DOUBLE your proceeds in support of WGCA?s programs. Don?t forget to share your fundraising page via e-mail, Facebook, Twitter and other social media channels! Teams that raise $500+ will receive a FREE yard sign for their team! Teams that raise $1,000+ will receive $5 off each team member registration for next year?s race! Teams that raise $2,500+ will earn a chance to win a grand prize! The top fundraising team by Sunday, May 31st midnight will be awarded a complimentary breakfast tailgating tent for next year?s race AND a chance to speak at the Breakfast of Champions kick-off in October!
