Ann Marie Luft, Fertility Consultant, Selected for Reproductive Advocacy Program

Ann Marie Luft, owner and founder of Fertility Paths, has been selected for the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) 2024 Primed Scholars Advocacy Program.   ASRM is a multidisciplinary organization dedicated to the advancement of the science and practice of reproductive medicine.

As a member of the 2024 Primed Scholars Cohort, Luft will be helping to educate and advocate for those struggling with good reproductive health.  Luft stated “As a fertility nurse I believe we need to advocate year-round for a patient’s right to infertility care.  According to the World Health Organization, roughly 1 in 6 people worldwide are affected by infertility.  This does not include the LGBTQ+ couples and those who choose to be a single parent.  There is a need for reproductive education and help.  I found my passion for nursing when I became a Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Nurse (REI Nurse) 10 years ago.  I am honored to have been selected by ASRM to be involved in their prestigious cohort this year.”

Luft graduated with her BA degree from the University of Florida and her BS degree in nursing from Caldwell University.  As she continued to learn about the intricacies of the human reproductive system she felt a passion to help others struggling in their fertility journey.  Luft quickly identified there is misinformation around every corner, especially on social media.  Her goal is to clear up the myths and communicate the truth about reproduction options.

Luft adds “Fertility treatment can cause frustration, hopelessness, and stress.  Members of the LGBTQ+ community often don’t know who to trust for information let alone consult with as they desire to start their own family whether it be with a partner or go solo.  My passion is to consult with all individuals struggling with fertility and share with them my knowledge in hopes that they too can one day be a parent.  Fertility Paths is my way of helping people by guiding them through what to expect in their reproductive journey.”

Men and women seeking assistance with reproduction can reach out to Fertility Paths to learn more about reproductive health and how in vitro fertilization (IVF) can be an option.  For more information, Luft will be hosting a free webinar on Monday, August 26th at 7pm entitled “Mythbusting The Misconceptions of IVF”.  The general public is invited to attend, to register visit: https://shorturl.at/KpZNg
