Commissioner Constantine Appointed to NACo Transportation Committee

SEMINOLE COUNTY, FL (SEPTEMBER 5, 2023) – Seminole County Commissioner Lee Constantine was recently appointed to the National Association of Counties (NACo) Transportation Policy Steering Committee and will serve as Vice Chair of the Transit and Rail Subcommittee.

Active in NACo for many years, Constantine is a member of NACo’s Board of Directors, as well as Vice Chair of the NACo Programs and Services Standing Committee. Commissioner Constantine previously served as a member of the Environment, Energy and Land Use Policy Steering Committee.

The Transportation Policy Steering Committee is responsible for all matters pertaining to federal transportation legislation, funding, and regulation, and its impacts on county government. This includes highway and bridge development, finance and safety, public transit development and finance, transportation planning, airport development and service, passenger and freight railroads, ports and waterways, freight movement, and research and development of new modes of transportation.
