Greater Orlando Sports Commission Announces Staff Promotions and Title Changes for 2024

Orlando, Fla. (January 5, 2024) – The Greater Orlando Sports Commission (GO Sports) has announced a series of promotions and title changes to start the new year.

 

“Each of these individuals has made significant contributions to the Greater Orlando Sports Commission,” said President & CEO Jason Siegel. “It’s an exciting time in our organization and I look forward to all we will continue to do together.”

 

Below are details on the staff promotions.

 

Kyle Sturley – Associate Vice President of Marketing, Communications & Special Events

 

Kyle joined the Greater Orlando Sports Commission in 2013 and is entering her 11th year with the organization. She previously served as Senior Director of Marketing, Communications & Special Events. She will continue to lead the organization’s marketing, communications, social media and public relations efforts, and manage vendor relationships in each of these areas. Sturley will also continue to manage marquee events that are hosted or co-hosted by GO Sports.

 

A graduate of Michigan State University and Old Dominion University, Kyle held roles with ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex and the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference before joining GO Sports.

 

Lindsey McBride - Associate Vice President of Events, Operations & Business Development

 

Lindsey first worked for the Greater Orlando Sports Commission in 2005 and re-joined the organization in 2016. She previously served as Senior Director of Events, Operations & Business Development. She will continue to oversee events and business development for Lake and Osceola Counties, in addition to her responsibilities in the finance department.

 

An Orlando native, Lindsey graduated from the University of Florida where she was a member of the Women’s Soccer Team that won an SEC Championship and advanced to the Women’s College Cup Semifinals in 2001.

 

Nolan McDonald – Manager of Corporate Partnerships, Marketing & Events

 

Nolan joined the Greater Orlando Sports Commission as a full-time staff member in 2021 after interning with GO Sports in 2019. He previously served as Corporate Partnerships, Marketing & Events Coordinator. He will continue to support the organization’s efforts across corporate partnerships, marketing and events while also organizing GO Sports’ quarterly board meetings.

 

Nolan graduated from the University of Florida where he worked in a variety of fields with the athletics department, including marketing, promotions, operations, and equipment.

 

Elizabeth Caldarelli – Manager of Business Development & Events

 

Elizabeth joined GO Sports in 2022 after graduating from Troy University with a Masters in Sport Management. She previously served as an Event Coordinator, assisting with the operations of the 2023 NCAA March Madness games hosted at the Kia Center. In her new role, she will oversee business development and events for Seminole County and continue to manage the organization’s attraction ticket program.

 

Elizabeth graduated from Texas A&M University in 2020, where she was a member of the Women’s Golf Team and Student Athlete Advisory Committee. While earning her master’s degree at Troy, she interned in Recruiting and Operations with the football program and was a member of the Women’s Golf Team.
