Howey-in-the-Hills, FL (April 3, 2026) – The Horizon League and the Greater Orlando Sports Commission (GO Sports) have reached an agreement for Lake County to continue serving as host of the Horizon League Men’s and Women’s Golf Championships through the 2029 academic year. Mission Resort + Club in Howie-in-the-Hills will continue to serve as the host venue.
GO Sports, Discover Lake County, and Mission Resort + Club have partnered to host the Horizon League Men’s and Women’s Golf Championships in the region since 2011.
“We are excited to continue our long-standing relationship with the Greater Orlando Sports Commission and Mission Resort + Club,” stated Christine Neuman, Horizon League Interim Commissioner. “This incredible partnership has allowed us to create major experiences for our student-athletes in one of the pinnacle moments of their collegiate careers and we look forward to continuing to host our League championships in Lake County for the next four years.”

The 2026 Horizon League Men’s and Women’s Golf Championships are scheduled for April 25-27, with 10 men’s teams and seven women’s teams from the northern mid-west region competing in their respective tournaments.
