Lighthouse Learning Microschool Announces Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and Community Chili Cookoff Fundraiser

Lighthouse Learning Microschool, a nurturing, small-scale educational community located in Longwood, Florida, is excited to announce its official ribbon cutting ceremony on December 10th from 4:00–5:00 p.m., followed by a Chili Cookoff Fundraiser with live music from 5:00–7:30 p.m. Lighthouse Learning offers a personalized approach to education that supports the whole child through small class sizes, hands-on enrichment, individualized instruction, and a learning environment that helps every child learn at their own pace. Families can learn more at www.lighthouselearningmicroschool.com.

The community is invited to join the celebration, hosted in partnership with the Seminole County Chamber of Commerce. Guests will have the opportunity to tour the learning space, meet the Lighthouse Learning team, and explore the school’s full-time and enrichment program offerings designed for families seeking a more customized and supportive learning environment.

Following the ribbon cutting, attendees can enjoy the lively Chili Cookoff featuring homemade recipes, friendly competition, and musical entertainment. All proceeds will support the BRIGHT Pathways Scholarship Fund, Lighthouse Learning’s signature initiative dedicated to making a Lighthouse education accessible to all while enhancing the programs that make the school unique. The fund supports scholarships for families facing financial hardship, as well as program enhancements in self-paced individualized learning, financial literacy, trades programs, gifted education, enrichment, and innovation initiatives that strengthen academics and real-world skills. Grab a $10 tasting wristband ($5 for kids) to sample all chili entries and vote for your favorite. Community members may also enter their own chili into the competition. Entries are $25 per chili, and participants can register at: https://signup.com/go/VbFmomB
