Orlando and Kia Center Selected as a Host City for 2027 FIVB Women's Volleyball World Championship

GO Sports is excited to share that Orlando and the Kia Center have been selected as a host city for the 2027 FIVB Women’s Volleyball World Championship, contingent upon coming to terms with FIVB and USA Volleyball. This is the first time that Orlando will host an international Olympic qualifier – the top 32 teams in the world will participate, with three teams qualifying for the LA28 Summer Olympic Games.

The event will be jointly hosted by the United States and Canada. The final rounds will be held at Honda Center and OCVIBE in Anaheim, California, with three additional host cities across the USA and Canada (two from Canada and one from the U.S.) to be confirmed for the pool phase and round of 16 alongside Orlando. The joint bid from the USA and Canada reflects volleyball’s surging popularity at the youth, collegiate and professional levels across both countries.

Statements from and GO Sports President & CEO Jason Siegel and USA Volleyball President & CEO John Speraw are attached, along with the current world rankings from FIVB (top visitor markets for Orlando are noted). The U.S. is currently ranked #7, Canada is #12.
