Second Foundation AI Joins U.S. Trade Mission to Peru, Advancing Newly Signed Bilateral AI Cooperat

Lake Mary, FL — Second Foundation AI, an American technology company specializing in sovereign, full-stack artificial intelligence systems, announced today that it will participate in a U.S. trade mission to Lima, Peru, organized by the South Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and supported by the Seminole County Chamber. The mission comes at a pivotal moment in U.S.–Peru relations following the recent signing of a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the U.S. Embassy in Lima and Peru’s Presidency of the Council of Ministers to accelerate AI adoption and strengthen Peru’s digital infrastructure.

The MOU signing ceremony — attended by senior Peruvian officials, U.S. diplomatic leadership, and academic partners — formalized a three-year cooperation framework focused on expanding digital infrastructure, improving regulatory governance, strengthening cybersecurity, and promoting the adoption of secure, interoperable U.S. artificial intelligence technologies. The agreement also emphasizes workforce development, cloud modernization, and deeper commercial collaboration between Peruvian institutions and American technology providers.

Second Foundation AI’s participation in the trade mission directly advances the goals outlined in this new bilateral agreement. During the mission, the company will meet with Peruvian ministries, public-sector institutions, and leading private-sector executives to present its sovereign AI architecture — a secure, nation-aligned platform designed to help governments deploy autonomous AI systems across critical sectors including public administration, education, healthcare, transportation, and national competitiveness.

For Second Foundation AI’s founder and CEO, Brett Patterson, the mission carries a deeply personal dimension. Patterson, born in Dallas, Texas, recently married Tania, a Peruvian citizen from Ayacucho. Their story — an American entrepreneur and a Peruvian professional building a life together — reflects the spirit of partnership, shared values, and cross-cultural connection that underpins the renewed U.S.–Peru cooperation on technology and economic development.

“Seeing the United States and Peru formally commit to accelerating AI adoption and strengthening digital infrastructure is inspiring,” Patterson said. “To travel to Peru at this exact moment — not only as a member of a Peruvian family, but as an American business leader bringing advanced technology to support Peru’s future — is profoundly meaningful. This mission allows Second Foundation AI to contribute directly to the goals set forth in the new MOU and help Peru build secure, sovereign AI capabilities.”

The trade mission will provide a platform for Second Foundation AI to support Peru’s digital transformation by aligning its sovereign AI solutions with the priorities established in the bilateral agreement: secure infrastructure, responsible governance, national-scale AI deployment, and workforce development. By engaging directly with government leaders and industry stakeholders, the company aims to help Peru accelerate the adoption of trustworthy AI systems and strengthen long-term commercial ties between both nations.
