Seminole County Public Schools Announce Dividends of the Year

Seminole County Public Schools (SCPS) proudly announced the recipients of the 2024 Dividends of the Year in the categories of Youth, Adult, and Senior.  These awards recognize exceptional volunteers who have made significant contributions to their school community.

Youth Dividend of the Year: Rhys Durity, Keeth Elementary
Rhys is a student at Indian Trails Middle School who sets aside time daily to volunteer at Keeth Elementary. He volunteers in the front office and helps with whatever task the administration has for him. He also enjoys helping in Keeth’s self-contained and VPK classrooms.

Adult Dividend of the Year: Katherine Fabian, Eastbrook Elementary
Katherine Fabian has donated countless hours to support the students, families, and staff at Eastbrook Elementary. As PTA president, she has raised money and rallied other volunteers for many family engagement activities and school events, including Literacy Night, STEM Night, Safety Night, Grandparents Breakfast, and our Color Run. She always leads the way.

Senior Dividend of the Year: Paula Mooty, Galileo Riverbend
Paula Mooty is likely one of the kindest volunteers that Galileo has ever known! Her infectious smile lights up the hallways and hearts of everyone she encounters. With boundless energy and a relentless dedication to our school community, Paula goes above and beyond for every student she works with.

Superintendent Serita D. Beamon expressed her gratitude for the invaluable contributions of all SCPS dividends stating, "Volunteers are essential to our school communities.
