The UCF Metropolitan Center for Regional Studies is pleased to announce that a forum on "The Future: Florida, NASA, and the Space Industry" will take place on Friday, April 16, 2010, at 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the University of Central Florida Executive Development Center on 36 West Pine Street, Orlando, Florida. Pat Duggins, National Public Radio's NASA Correspondent and author of Final Countdown: NASA and the End of the Space Shuttle Program will begin the forum, followed by a panel discussion. Invited panelists include Frank DiBello, President, Space Florida; Senator Mike Haridopolos, Florida Senate; Congresswoman Suzanne Kosmas, U.S. Representative; M.J. Soileau, UCF Vice President, Office of Research and Commercialization; and Lynda Weatherman, President, SpaceCoast EDC. Ray Gilley, President, MetroOrlando EDC will moderate the panel.
