Seminole County, FL (June 27, 2023) — To celebrate National Park and Recreation Month in July, the Seminole County Leisure Services Department invites the public to visit Seminole County parks and earn limited edition, vintage-inspired park posters.

Upon visiting and taking photos in three different County parks, participants can earn a free poster styled in the manner of the National Park travel posters produced by the WPA in the 1930s and '40s.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE:

  • Visit three (3) Seminole County parks, trails, natural lands areas, boat ramps, or the Museum of Seminole County History, and take a photo at each location.
  • Present photos to staff at:
    • Red Bug Lake Park, Casselberry,
    • Sanlando Park, Altamonte Springs,
    • Sylvan Lake Park, Sanford, or
    • Museum of Seminole County History, Sanford
  • Choose a limited-edition poster featuring Black Bear Wilderness Area, the Mountain Bike Skills Course at Markham Woods Trailhead, or the Seminole County Softball Complex.
