City of Longwood's 2nd Annual Holiday Lighting Contest

Light Up Longwood, hosted by the City of Longwood, encourages both residents and business owners to adorn their homes and storefronts with festive decorations. Participants have the opportunity to be recognized for their outstanding efforts in illuminating Longwood during the holiday season, creating a delightful experience for families to revel in the magic of the season. Light Up Longwood is geared towards fostering a strong sense of community spirit.
 
Participation is open to all residents and business owners within the Longwood City limits. Best of all, there's no cost to participate (except for your January utility bill, of course). Submissions and Voting will begin on November 13 and conclude on December 15 at noon. To Enter and/or Vote, simply visit: Light Up Longwood Contest.
 
All photos submitted are subject to approval.
 
Participants should ensure that all lights, animations, and decorations are displayed and operational between 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. A map will be made accessible to the public, highlighting all contest participants, enabling families to enjoy a delightful tour around the City and witness the magic of the holiday lights.
 
Winners will receive:

• A colorful lawn sign announcing your achievement.
• Recognition on the City’s website, the weekly newsletter, and social media platforms.
• A trophy awarded to you at the Longwood City Commission Meeting on Monday, December 18, 2023.
• Bragging rights for next year’s contest!

• Unique design and creative use of lights and decorations.
• Storyline or theme.
• Display and placement of decorations, animated objects, etc.
• Overall presentation.
