City of Longwood Upcoming Holiday Events

The City of Longwood is thrilled to announce a series of spectacular holiday events that will bring festive cheer to our community. With an array of activities and entertainment for all ages, these events promise to make this holiday season truly special. Bring the kids out for awesome trucks full of candy and fun-filled activities for all at our annual Truck or Treat event in Reiter Park, 311 W Warren Ave. from 3 pm to 6 pm on Saturday, October 21. There will be a costume contest by age group, prizes, and more! Free.
 
Bring your best dance moves for the City of Longwood’s first Halloween Dance Party with music by DJ Dennis, light refreshments, candy, and an audience judged costume contest! The dance will be on Wednesday, October 25 from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm at the Longwood Community Building, 200 W Warren Avenue. Tickets are $8 and can be purchased here: https://rb.gy/4wnpv
 
Watch a free movie with us at Reiter Park on Saturday, November 17 at 7 pm. Bring your family and friends, and don’t forget to pack a blanket, chair, and/or snacks. The featured movie is The Super Mario Bros. Movie. Free.
 
On Saturday, November 18 from 9 am to 5 pm and Sunday, November 19 from 9 am to 4 pm, take a stroll through Historic Downtown Longwood for our annual Arts & Crafts Festival featuring more than 200 artists and handcraft exhibitors selling unique items, fine jewelry, and seasonal decor just in time for you to get a jump on the holiday shopping season. Celebrate the beginning of the Christmas holiday season at Reiter Park with the Tree Lighting of our new 22 ft Christmas Tree and a live concert by the Lyman High School Jazz Band on Thursday, November 30, at 6:30 pm. Food and drink will be available for purchase. Free.
 
Grab a blanket or a chair for the annual Longwood Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 2, at 3 pm making its way through the Historic District of Longwood. Free.
 
On Friday, December 8, from 6 pm to 9 pm, join the festivities at the City of Longwood’s annual Celebrate the Season event. This holiday street party will feature an array of activities for $2 including an inflatable snow maze, giant fun slides, a petting zoo, and a trackless train photo. There will also be photo opportunities with Santa, music by DJ Dennis, performances by One School of the Arts, 10+ food trucks, and a major laser light show throughout the event. Watch a free movie with us at Reiter Park on Friday, December 15, at 7 pm. Bring your family and friends, and don’t forget to pack a blanket, chair, and/or snacks. The featured movie is How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Free.
 
Santa Visits Longwood on Saturday, December 16, at 11 am East of Ronald Reagan and Sunday, December 17 at 11 am West of Ronald Reagan. His routes are within City Limits. The Longwood Police Department will assist Santa in his travels. Free.
 
Wake up and join us for Breakfast with Santa on Saturday, December 16, from 9 am to 10:30 am. at the Longwood Community Building sponsored by Advent Health. Enjoy classic holiday music, pictures with Santa, kid activities, and more. This is a ticketed event. Tickets will be available on November 28. Longwood’s Annual Barkfest will bring together animal lovers for an evening of fun activities and demonstrations for all ages. Bring your dogs out for a great time and a photo opportunity with Santa on Saturday, December 16 from 1 pm to 3:30 pm at Arbor Park, 1405 N Grant Street. There will be a doggy play area, local vendors, food available for purchase, and raffles with great prizes! Also, stay tuned for the unveiling of Longwood's Cutest Dog Winner! Free.
