Dave’s House Announces Their Upcoming “Legacy and Savings Dinner” Event

Dave’s House of Central Florida invites the community to their “Legacy and Savings Dinner” on Wednesday, June 21, 2023.  This special event takes place at 5:30pm at the iconic Historic Dubsdread Ballroom in Orlando, Florida.  All are invited to this financial discussion over complimentary dinner and drinks as we hear from Estate Planning Attorney Matthew Palma with M.T. Palma Legal and Senior Wealth Advisor Aaron Paul with Synergy Wealth Alliance.

Executive Director of Dave’s House, Ellen O’Connor, stated “As we work to increase giving in 2023, we are also educating people on the tax benefits of charitable contributions.  During this free event attendees will learn how to make a charitable gift that reduces their tax obligation, various tax benefits of gifting assets to charity in life and at death, and what types of assets make the best charitable gifts and why.  In pre- and post-retirement, there is a benefit to learning how you can save.  Every age and every tax bracket can take advantage of important opportunities to reduce one’s tax load.  Dave’s House of Central Florida is sponsoring this event, dinner and drinks are free to all attendees.”

The Historic Dubsdread Ballroom is located at 549 W Par St, Orlando, FL 32804.  This event starts at 5:30pm and seating is very limited.  To confirm your seat, RSVP by June 14th when you register online at:  https://buff.ly/3Opt4AM.  There will be no walk-in seating available.

Dave’s House was established as a 501c3 non-profit organization in 2009 by founders Lin and Ron Wilensky.  Dave’s House works to end homelessness for men and women with serious mental illness (SMI).  The people they serve are chronically homeless, at risk of homelessness, or in sub-standard housing.  The Wilensky’s personally funded the first two Dave’s House homes in 2008.  Year after year mentally ill men and women benefit from the efforts of Dave’s House.  Through their agreement with Aspire Health Partners, residents have mental health resources available to them to maintain stability and avoid hospitalizations.
