Karen Kurta Named President-Elect of NAWBO Orlando

ORLANDO, FL – May 14, 2024 — Karen Kurta was recently appointed to President-Elect of the Orlando chapter of NAWBO (National Association of Women Business Owners). Her term will start in June 2024 and go on through May 2025.

Karen joined the board in 2022 as Director of Communications and has held that position for two years. She was responsible for leading a committee of volunteers dedicated to marketing and promoting the organization. Her new role is part of a three-year commitment to leadership in the organization.

NAWBO is the only dues-based organization representing the interests of all women entrepreneurs across all industries; with chapters across the country. With far-reaching clout and impact, NAWBO is a one-stop resource that propels women business owners into greater economic, social, and political spheres of power worldwide.
NAWBO Orlando is dedicated to fostering the economic empowerment and success of women business owners in Central Florida. Their mission is to strengthen the wealth-creating capacity of NAWBO Orlando’s members and promote economic development; create innovative and effective changes in the business culture; build strategic alliances, coalitions, and affiliations; and transform public policy and influence opinion–makers.

Karen is the owner of Karen K Photo, a photography business that helps professional services firms create the images they need for marketing. She specializes in branding, headshots, corporate events, and architectural photography. A former marketer and graphic designer in the commercial construction and real estate industries, she’s in a unique position to understand the marketing challenges these industries face.
