May the 4th be with you: Ashley Eckstein, voice of Star Wars’ Ahsoka Tano, visits AdventHealth for Children

The Force was strong today at AdventHealth for Children. To celebrate May the 4^th, Orlando native Ashley Eckstein, author and actress, most known as the voice of Ahsoka Tano from Star Wars: Rebels and Star Wars: The Clone Wars, paid a special visit to read to patients and gift them a copy of her book, Star Wars Everyday.

Eckstein’s visit happens as AdventHealth for Children and Heart of Florida United Way are teaming up to launch a new movement, called Be a Mindleader, all about encouraging kids and adults to talk about mental health. Because talking about mental health is one of the best ways to reduce stigma, create hope and lead people to seek care.

“For me personally, Star Wars represents hope. And, especially if you’re here in the hospital, everyone needs a little bit of hope,” Eckstein said. “When I walk in and I get to share my love of Star Wars with the patients and just see them light up, it’s the best feeling in the world.”
