Upcoming Leaders Supporting the Workforce Affected by Addiction

CareerSource Central Florida (CSCF), in partnership with ICARE International Center for Addiction and Recovery Education, GOSHRM – Greater Orlando Society for Human Resource Management, and Project Opioid Central Florida, is hosting a complimentary training titled “Leaders Supporting the Workforce Affected by Addiction.” 

In 2020, CSCF launched Fostering Opioid Recovery Through Training and Employment (FORTE) to provide career and business services that strengthen and empower Central Floridians with workforce solutions in the fight against opioids. 

The training is focused on understanding substance use disorder, its impact on the workforce and businesses, and what recovery means. Moreover, it equips business leaders with valuable insights on initiating and navigating conversations around addiction in the workplace, enabling them to better support employees who are affected.  

Opioid use continues to significantly affect Florida’s workforce, with 1 in 11 employees struggling with a substance use disorder.

This training opportunity is open for organizations or businesses located in Lake, Orange, Osceola, Seminole, and Sumter Counties.
