50% of our neighbors are living paycheck to paycheck, just one financial crisis away from potential homelessness. Survival, not summertime fun, is on their mind. The cost of extra childcare, the absence of free school meals, and the inability to afford even a simple BBQ add to our neighbor’s burdens.
Vacations are a distant dream.
