Thank You Rotary Club of Lake Mary

Sanford, Fla. (September 6, 2023) – At its heart, Rotary Club is dedicated to the service of others and this week they showed their support of Rescue Outreach Mission with a $3,000 contribution to help the homeless in Seminole County.
“Rotary Clubs throughout the country are often among the most generous organizations in their community and, once again, Rotary Club of Lake Mary has proven this to be the case,” says Chris Ham, executive director, Rescue Outreach Mission of Central Florida. “This donation will help many people get back on their feet and start the process to finding permanent housing, a true key for a productive life.”
As Seminole County’s only emergency housing shelter, Rescue Outreach Mission depends on the philanthropy of the local residents, churches and businesses. From volunteers to help with meals to funding to pay for utility bills, no gift is too small as the need is great.
“We are very pleased to support Rescue Outreach Mission as one of the non-profits we are contributing to this year,” says Carralyce Buford, president, Rotary Club of Lake Mary. “They alone serve this critical function in Seminole County and our organization hopes many more groups and people will follow our lead in supporting Rescue Outreach Mission.”
Rotary Club of Lake Mary meets every Thursday morning at 7:30 a.m. at Heathrow Country Club. For more information on this club and how to join Rotary International, please visit their website.

About Rescue Outreach Mission:  In 1986, Mother Blanche Bell Weaver, Pastor of the Rescue Church of God, saw desperate people in her community living without basic essentials. With the support of her church and members, she was determined to help those in need. She founded the Rescue Outreach Mission to provide safety, support and a healing environment for her community.
Located across from the Rescue Church of God in Sanford, Rescue Outreach Mission remains true to her mission by serving disadvantaged people throughout Central Florida by providing resources that help prevent homelessness and assisting those who are homeless to become self-sufficient.
