Village on the Green Completes $56 Million Expansion and Redevelopment

Longwood, Fla. – Village on the Green, a senior living and continuing care retirement community on 80 acres, is commemorating the completion of its $56 million renovation with an invite-only soirée on Wednesday, June 7 at 3 p.m. The Monte Carlo themed grand reopening event will include a ribbon cutting and a tour of the new and renovated spaces.

Home to approximately 350 residents, the completion of this expansion project adds 20 new two-bedroom independent living villas with two-care garages, bringing the number of independent living homes and villas from 246 to 266. In addition, Village on the Green has constructed new dining venues and renovated its auditorium and clubhouse. The clubhouse features a new fitness center, art studio, classroom, conference room, salon, card room, and spiritual life center, adding even more premium amenities to be enjoyed by residents.

“The completion of this expansion project is great for our residents and enables us to provide even more personalized experiences and service, now and into the future,” said Village on the Green Executive Director Joey Mookerjee. “Our residents are able to enjoy even more amenities, such as a fitness center, more dining venues, and a refurbished clubhouse. These changes, along with the prior expansion of our health center, enables our residents to continue to live an active and engaging lifestyle.”

Originally started in 2017, this multi-million dollar expansion has enabled Village on the Green to meet the current and future needs of residents for years to come. In earlier phases, the health center added 48 skilled nursing beds, 36 assisted living apartments, and 18 memory care suites. The health center also provides services to older adults in the Orlando area that are not Village on the Green residents.

Village on the Green prides itself on offering the residents it serves a tranquil and enriching experience that allows them to create the life they want in their retirement years. The completion of this expansion is an investment in residents and a nod to the commitment the senior living community makes to residents.
