Description
Join the Black Faculty and Staff Association (BFSA) at Seminole State College of Florida for Heritage Jubilee 2025: A Celebration of Outstanding Achievement in the Community. The theme for this year’s event is “Sustaining Lasting Traditions: Creating Pathways for Youth.” In keeping with that theme, BFSA will honor Larenze T. Young, the Commissioner of Sanford Youth Football Association, and Octavius "Ocky" Clark, an exemplary coach of Winter Springs High School.
Established over 40 years ago by the Afro-American Society at Seminole State, Heritage Jubilee commemorates the life and achievements of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. while promoting his ideals of equality, justice and social change. The annual event has proven to be a powerful and unifying way to bring students, faculty, staff and the community together to reflect on Dr. King’s contributions and to continue his work.
Free and open to the public. Doors open at 6 p.m.
