Description
Learn from the expert - Tomas Lares, the founder of United Abolitionists (UA), has dedicated his career to advocating for victims. An abolitionist works to stop human trafficking, which is otherwise known as modern-day slavery. People are bought and sold in our community.
UA is dedicated to addressing the crime in ‘our own backyard.’ They do this at every step of the cycle — from education and awareness to victim services and recovery support.
Lares has been a driving force in uniting various groups to combat human trafficking through improved communication, collaboration, and coordinated care.
