Organizations that support pre-school children, young musicians, local theatre, cancer victims and women and families in need will be featured on the Central Florida Regional Transportation Authority (LYNX) 2012-13 Public Service Bus. City of Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and LYNX Chief Executive Officer John M. Lewis Jr. will unveil the bus at a 10 a.m. ceremony being held on April 19, outside the Amway Center Church Street entrance. The eight winning organizations, which include Seminole County Regional Chamber of Commerce Members Angel Snugs, Early Learning Coalition of Seminole and Ovarian Cancer Alliance of Florida, will have their logos placed on a LYNX bus for the next 12 months. The bus will travel regular routes throughout the LYNX system, providing these organizations with free exposure in Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties. The winners were selected in a random drawing of more than 125 entries from non-profit organizations that have 501(c)(3) status and operate on budgets of less than $1 million.
