UCF's first ever Book Festival Saturday, April 17, 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the UCF Arena. Come with the family and enjoy activities and authors celebrating the joy of reading! This event brings over 60 renowned national and local authors to the UCF Arena for what promises to become an annual festival for booklovers of every type.
Event highlights include:
- Book signings are planned with all the authors including former U.S. Poet Laureate Billy Collins; Pat Duggins, former commentator for local NPR affiliate radio station WMFE; Greg Dawson, Orlando Sentinel consumer advocate, whose recently published book, Hiding in the Spotlight: A Musical Prodigy's Story of Survival, 1941-1946, is the critically acclaimed story of his mother who, as a teenage girl, escaped from the Holocaust; and UCF’s Richard Lapchick, noted national authority on ethics in sports and a regular columnist for ESPN.com

- a wide range of children’s activities including character actors from children’s literature.
