The Professional Women's Luncheon has set the standard for showcasing successful women in an environment that is inspiring and exciting. At each lunch, a high profile woman shares her life story, giving attendees a look into the struggles and accomplishments of women throughout Central Florida. Likewise, the luncheon is attended by successful business women who participate in special activities designed to facilitate introductions.
SPEAKER:
Maryann Barry, CEO, Girl Scouts of Citrus & Future Astronaut
Maryann is a proud Girl Scout and seasoned not-for-profit business leader. From her early college days in New York, to today, Maryann's life and career choices have been driven by her passion to create environments that influence improved outcomes for all children. She believes the key to growing stronger communities is to invest heavily and with clear intent in building healthy, confident, and above all else, kind children.
Over the course of her 36-year career in government and not-for-profit industry, Maryann has focused sharply on improving quality of life issues for women and children. She has served communities in New York, Germany, Louisiana, Alabama, Washington, D.C., and Florida. In October of 2011, she embraced the opportunity to serve as CEO of Girl Scouts of Citrus Council, excited to highly engage with Central Florida businesses, schools, and families in building the women leaders of tomorrow.
This year, Maryann added another exciting and out of this world opportunity to her resume. She will be fulfilling her childhood dream to travel to space, when she rockets toward the stars with Virgin Galactic as a Pioneer Commercial Astronaut. She completed her Future Astronaut onboarding with Virgin Galactic in London in June of last year.

As we reopen Seminole County, our top priority is the safety of all our members and guests. After all, you can't provide jobs and grow our economy while you are sick.
We're confident that with your help, we can keep our community working and allow us to provide the networking and relationship-building events you have loved for years.
For now, our event guidelines will be:
- All host venues will be adhering to current guidelines regarding setup and cleaning schedules
- All Council meetings are now RSVP mandatory so we can comply with venue capacities and a socially-distanced setup
- Masks, fist bumps and elbow rubs are encouraged, handshakes and hugs are discouraged
- Hand sanitizer will be available at check-in
- Temperatures may be scanned at check-in. If anyone has a temperature over 100 degrees, they will not be admitted.
Plus, we trust that you will stay home if you (or someone in your household) has
- Had a fever in last 24 hours
- Had a cough, congestion or runny nose
- Have been exposed to someone who tested positive in the past two weeks.
By following these simple regulations, we know we will be able to have great meetings and networking and open Seminole County safely!
*All Event tickets are non-refundable
