The Professional Women's Luncheon has set the standard for showcasing successful women in an environment that is inspiring and exciting. At each lunch, a high profile woman shares her life story, giving attendees a look into the struggles and accomplishments of women throughout Central Florida. Likewise, the luncheon is attended by successful business women who participate in special activities designed to facilitate introductions.
SPEAKER:
Beth Kassab, former editor and columnist, Orlando Sentinel
She will be sharing her inspirational story of overcoming the unthinkable: Dual, yet unrelated, brain tumor diagnoses for her and her husband, just months apart.
Beth Kassab is a writer and an external communications manager at AdventHealth, where she works with the Neuroscience Institute and other specialty areas. Beth spent 20 years as a journalist at the Orlando Sentinel before turning to her other passion: health care. In 2018, Beth and her husband were diagnosed with brain tumors just months apart. While their diagnoses are very different and both are healthy today, the experience sparked her desire to help other patients and raise awareness for families confronting brain cancers such as her husband's diagnosis. Beth volunteers as a peer mentor with the American Brain Tumor Association and serves on the advisory council for her alma mater, the University of Florida's journalism department. Her writing has been recognized by the Scripps Howard Foundation, the Associated Press Sports Editors and the Florida Society of News Editors. Beth lives with her husband and their two children in Oviedo.

As we reopen Seminole County, our top priority is the safety of all our members and guests. After all, you can't provide jobs and grow our economy while you are sick.
We're confident that with your help, we can keep our community working and allow us to provide the networking and relationship-building events you have loved for years.
For now, our event guidelines will be:
- All host venues will be adhering to current guidelines regarding setup and cleaning schedules
- All Council meetings are now RSVP mandatory so we can comply with venue capacities and a socially-distanced setup
- Masks, fist bumps and elbow rubs are encouraged, handshakes and hugs are discouraged
- Hand sanitizer will be available at check-in
- Temperatures may be scanned at check-in. If anyone has a temperature over 100 degrees, they will not be admitted.
Plus, we trust that you will stay home if you (or someone in your household) has
- Had a fever in last 24 hours
- Had a cough, congestion or runny nose
- Have been exposed to someone who tested positive in the past two weeks.
By following these simple regulations, we know we will be able to have great meetings and networking and open Seminole County safely!
*All Event tickets are non-refundable
