Description
Join Seminole State for Dr. Randall Atlas’ presentation, Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design – Emerging Crime Threats and How You Can Make a Difference. As America’s only architect and criminologist, Dr. Atlas explores how the spaces we live, learn, and work in can be intentionally designed to reduce crime and increase personal safety. He'll examine how to identify risks and vulnerabilities in everyday environments — from college campuses and shopping centers to neighborhoods and public spaces. You'll learn how thoughtful design choices, like sight lines, lighting placement and natural barriers, can make a real difference in keeping people safe.
Whether you're a student, faculty member, future urban planner, business owner, or simply someone who cares about your community — this presentation will give you practical knowledge and tools to help create safer spaces for everyone.
