Part-Time Private Investigator

The Law Firm of Charles Vega, P.A. is seeking a highly professional, licensed, and experienced Private Investigator to join our team in an in-house capacity. You will work directly with our attorneys to provide crucial investigative support across our litigation practice areas, including Personal Injury, Family Law, and Civil Litigation. This is a critical role for ensuring our legal strategies are founded on undeniable facts and admissible evidence.
Key Responsibilities

  • Fact and Evidence Collection: Conduct comprehensive investigations, evidence gathering, and scene documentation (photos/video) for active litigation cases.
  • Witness Management: Locate, interview, and secure detailed, non-confrontational statements from witnesses and key parties.
  • Background & Asset Searches: Perform detailed background checks on opposing parties, witnesses, and experts. Conduct pre-litigation asset and financial searches.
  • Surveillance: Execute discreet, professional surveillance as required, adhering strictly to all Florida state laws and ethical guidelines.
  • Litigation Support: Prepare detailed, objective reports, case chronologies, and summaries of findings to support pre-trial preparation and strategy.
  • Testify: Provide credible and professional testimony in court proceedings, depositions, and evidentiary hearings when necessary.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Preferred but not Required: Active Private Investigator (PI) license in good standing in the state of Florida.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of experience conducting complex investigations, preferably within a legal environment or former law enforcement/military background.
  • Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical and report-writing skills, proficiency in public records and database searches, and impeccable communication (both verbal and written).
  • Commitment: Must demonstrate a high degree of discretion and adherence to ethical rules of professional conduct.
