1 Million School Supplies Donated to Florida Classrooms by Disney Cast Members

Walt Disney World cast members are helping Central Florida students head back to school prepared for success. Through Disney’s annual Back-to-School Supply Drive benefiting A Gift For Teaching, cast members recently collected more than 155,000 school supplies for local classrooms. This milestone donation helped Disney surpass an incredible achievement: more than 1 million school supplies donated over the past decade through the supply drive. 

 Investing in Central Florida Students



Supporting education is a long-standing part of Disney’s commitment to Central Florida. For nearly 30 years, Disney has been one of A Gift For Teaching’s largest supporters, helping provide educators and students with the tools and resources they need to thrive.  This year, more than 100 Disney VoluntEARS came together to count and sort items that will help stock classrooms and support teachers and students across Orange, Osceola, Lake, Seminole and Polk counties

The Back-to-School Supply Drive is just one example of Disney’s ongoing investment in local education. Earlier this summer, Disney also invested $1.3 million in education programs across Central Florida, benefiting all five local school districts and organizations that support students and teachers. Every notebook, pencil and classroom supply donated by cast members will help students start the school year feeling confident and ready to learn.
