25 Local Businesses Already Signed On: SCPS ePathways Tackles the Talent Shortage at 2026 ''Pathways to Possibilities'' Expo

The momentum is building for the 2026 workforce. Seminole County Public Schools (SCPS) is proud to announce that 25 local businesses have already secured their spots for the 2026 Pathways to Possibilities Career Fair and Internship Expo.

As industries across Central Florida face an evolving labor market, this early surge in registration signals a shift in how local employers are solving the "talent gap."

The ePathways department continues to invite remaining Seminole County businesses to join this cohort on Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Seminole State College (Sanford/Lake Mary Campus). Visit this site to register: https://tinyurl.com/CTE-2026

By joining the 25 organizations already on board, employers can bypass traditional recruiting barriers and engage directly with a high-potential workforce of students trained in specialized Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs.

Building a Local Pipeline

"We aren't just hosting a career fair; we are facilitating an economic handshake," said Dr. Shawn Gard-Harrold, Assistant Superintendent for the SCPS ePathways department. "With 25 partners already committed, it’s clear that our business community recognizes the value of cultivating a talent pipeline right here in their backyard. This event allows them to hire on the spot or establish internships rather than searching outside the county for skilled labor."

Strategic Opportunities for Employers

The 2026 Expo offers employers the chance to:

  • Recruit Specialized Talent: Connect with students earning industry-standard certifications in nursing, engineering, and cybersecurity.
  • Reduce Turnover: Create loyal, long-term employees who understand your company culture before they even graduate.
  • Direct Interaction: Avoid the "black hole" of online job boards with face-to-face interviews and immediate candidate assessment.
